Enquiries, bookings and vouchers

The form stores name, email, package interests, language, payment preference, time and processing status. Phone, preferred date, location and message are optional. We use these details for your enquiry and personal scheduling. Bookings and vouchers additionally record agreed amounts, payments, references and redemptions; voucher recipient and greeting are optional. No appointment or newsletter subscription is confirmed automatically.

Specific enquiries and orders are processed under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR, general enquiries under the legitimate interest in replying, Article 6(1)(f). Legally required records use Article 6(1)(c). Enquiries without an order are deleted after completion when no further clarification is needed; necessary contract/payment records are retained as legally required. These periods do not apply indiscriminately to all messages or photographs.

Private photo galleries

We store edited photos and previews, file names/sizes, title, message and expiry for agreed delivery. Originals can contain metadata. The private link grants access to the intended people; keep it confidential. It is exchanged for a necessary cookie. Unselected or unpaid originals remain locked. Expiry blocks access; photos are deleted manually after delivery and open questions are completed. Public reference use requires a separate appropriate basis and agreement.

Hosting and security

The IONOS version processes enquiries and studio records in MySQL/MariaDB. Private photos and credentials reside outside the public website folder. IONOS processes technical connection data such as IP, time, requested address and browser information for delivery and security. The application uses time-limited identifiers derived with a secret key to limit abuse. Authorized studio users receive role-based access; passwords are stored as secure hashes. Access changes are logged.

Email, payment and external links

Emails to hello@storythroughmylens.com are forwarded by IONOS to a Google Gmail mailbox. These providers process sender, recipient, subject, message content and any attachments. The contractual basis, account settings and retention for the Gmail account require final review before public launch. Automatic studio notifications are currently switched off. If later enabled, IONOS sends only a notice with a reference and protected studio link, without customer messages or private gallery access. Online card payments are not currently configured; payment is arranged personally. WhatsApp and WEXO open only after their external links are clicked. WEXO cashback is arranged personally and is not triggered automatically.
